Guides · Green Mobile Home Transport · July 11, 2026
A smooth move starts before the truck ever arrives. Use this checklist to get your home road-ready and protect your belongings.
Inside the home
- Remove or securely pack all loose items, dishes, and electronics
- Take down wall hangings, mirrors, and curtains
- Secure or remove interior doors that may swing
- Empty and defrost the refrigerator
Outside the home
- Disconnect all utilities—water, power, gas, sewer
- Remove skirting, steps, decks, and awnings
- Detach anchors and tie-downs
- Clear the path for the transport truck
Paperwork
Have your title, any lien releases, and insurance information ready. If we are handling permits, we’ll take it from there.
Let the pros handle the heavy part
Disconnecting, tearing down, and hitching a home is physical, technical work. Our crews can handle the full tear-down and re-set so you don’t have to lift a wrench. See our setup & installation service.
