Real Jobs, Real Equipment
Every photo on this page is one of our own moves — no stock images. They are worth a look before you hire anyone, because the equipment in the background tells you as much about a mover as the finished home does.
Toters and transport trucks
The heavy trucks pulling the homes are toters, built for the weight and the length of a manufactured home rather than adapted from something else. Paired with the right hitch and axle setup, they are what keeps a wide load stable at highway speed. You will also see pilot vehicles in some shots, running ahead of the load where the route or the state requires an escort.
House-Tug remote movers and hydraulic gear
The tracked machines are remote-controlled House-Tug units. They are what makes tight sites possible: a rural lot with a creek crossing, a park lane with a turning radius that will not take a truck, a driveway on a grade. The operator walks alongside and steers the home in by hand, inches at a time, instead of trying to back a full-size rig into a space that was never designed for one.
Blocking, leveling and anchoring
The setup shots matter most, because that is where a move is actually won or lost. Piers on properly sized pads, footings below the local frost line, a marriage line sealed and matched on a double wide, and tie-downs torqued to the anchor manufacturer’s spec. A home that was hauled perfectly and set badly will tell on you within a year through sticking doors and cracked corners.
